On Sunday October 10, 2021 students from all campuses gathered to celebrate the Feast of St. John Henry Newman with Mass and a farewell celebration for Fr. Vince Hawk. The festivities took place at St. Albert the Great Church in North Royalton. Fr. Vince celebrated the 6:00 p.m. Mass. After Mass, students and ministers gathered in the church hall for pizza and beverage reception. During the reception Fr. Vince was recognized for his 15 years of service as the chaplain for Ashland University and his 3 years as Director for Newman Catholic Campus Ministry. On August 1, 2021 Fr. Vince stepped out of campus ministry to become the new pastor of Holy Spirit Parish in Avon Lake. Dr. Joann Rymarczyk-Piotrkowski was named the new Diocesan Director for Newman Catholic Campus Ministry.
